About the position

The Finance Analyst III will serve as a key business partner within the Automotive Americas Finance Organization, focusing on supporting the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) organization. This role involves executing regular financial activities, providing data analysis, and driving productivity improvements to support decision-making processes. The candidate will collaborate with various teams to maintain financial systems, consolidate results, and report key performance indicators to the executive team.

Responsibilities

  • Support ISC financial analyst in preparing materials and executing cadence for the ISC finance area.
  • Retrieve data from SAP and internal data warehouses weekly to prepare reports and track performance of logistics and procurement.
  • Support preparation of relevant accruals, explanations of past performance, and forecasts with ISC partners monthly.
  • Assist in defining targets for the beginning of each quarter and support budget preparation for ISC yearly.
  • Function as an effective finance business partner supporting the Supply Chain organization.
  • Use analytical tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) to create insights on logistics performance and material productivity.
  • Develop models for analysis and forecasting of purchase price variances (PPV) and material productivity.
  • Extract, consolidate, and report information from systems like SAC and Hyperion Planning to support ISC and FP&A teams.
  • Provide feedback on process and system improvements; seek inputs to enhance information delivery.
  • Improve documentation of existing and new procedures for financial support to ISC.
  • May need to travel sporadically.

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA is a plus.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Finance activities and skills in Accounting or cost accounting.
  • Experience supporting supply chain or materials organization is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Operations organizations, especially supply chain and procurement.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated, capable of working independently and in teams.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and demonstrates intellectual curiosity and ownership of tasks.
  • Ability to partner effectively with internal customers.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
  • Experience with Hyperion, BPC, and SAP systems is desired.
  • Data Analytics skills (Tableau, PowerBI, Python, R, SQL) is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R.
  • Knowledge of SQL for data management.
