About the position

The Finance Analyst at AbbVie plays a crucial role in managing the procure-to-pay (PTP) process for the INTL HQ organization. This position involves applying accounting principles to support purchase order (PO) creation and changes, ensuring proper internal controls, and assisting in budget management activities for various non-brand functions. The analyst will utilize multiple financial systems to consolidate information for reporting and will work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with financial guidance.

Responsibilities

• Owns PO creation and Vendor Data processes for their responsible department while ensuring correct documentation is provided.
• Ensures the invoice payment process is executed efficiently.
• Prepares and reports on departmental spending activity for key account types and functional areas.
• Establishes partnerships with stakeholders by understanding needs from meetings and applies what was communicated into action.
• Performs and investigates budget reconciliations to ensure tracking of spend is in line with communication from stakeholders and IMCO finance guidance.
• Manages workload under minimal supervision in day-to-day activities and receives general guidance for ad hoc tasks.
• Performs work according to established procedures but is encouraged to find efficiencies and communicate them to the Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP with the ability to learn SNAPP and PowerBI.
• Strong analytics capabilities.
