About the position

The Finance Analyst position at the World Bank Group involves supporting the Budget, Performance Review, and Strategic Planning Vice Presidency by providing analytics, controls, and data management to facilitate decision-making regarding financial resources. The role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure effective budget management and compliance with policies, while also contributing to the organization's mission of addressing global development challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Support decision-making through timely and relevant financial analytics.
  • Maintain core budget systems and processes, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Work directly with client management as business partners to provide financial insights.
  • Analyze data and business processes to assess internal controls and identify risks.
  • Produce standard activity and unit-level reports and budgets using inputs from senior staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in accounting or finance-oriented roles.
  • Advanced knowledge of budget/finance systems, particularly SAP, Power BI, BW/AO, and BPC.
  • Experience in supporting business decision-making through analytics and visualization solutions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of external funds policies and procedures.
  • Experience with requirements gathering and business analysis.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML methods for analytics.
