About The Position

The Finance Analyst position at the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Medicine involves supporting the Senior Director of Academic Operations in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or financial analysis.
• Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/or experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and analyzes financial data for senior leadership in budgetary and financial planning.
• Tracks and analyzes budgetary developments.
• Reviews financial and budgetary proposals and assists in preparing complex reports and statements.
• Supports business operations by analyzing moderately complex requirements.
• Assesses current practices, collects information, and analyzes industry trends to determine organizational objectives.
• Designs new, moderately complex projects and programs by analyzing clients' requirements.
• Prepares technical reports by analyzing and summarizing the information and trends.
• Gathers and analyzes data for potential growth and identifies business opportunities.
• Assists with project management for selected projects and tests business processes, recommending improvements.
• Writes clear and well-structured business requirements/documents.
• Creates reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand business performance and develops and maintains reporting tools.
• Performs data discovery, moderately complex analysis, and modeling.
