About the position

The Finance Analyst will be a key member of the Business Operations team, responsible for managing day-to-day finance operations and aligning processes with Aristocrat Labs' strategic objectives. This role serves as a trusted business partner to the Finance community and Technology leadership, influencing the financial and strategic direction of the organization. The Finance Analyst will engage with various stakeholders to optimize tools and processes for a centralized gaming technology development function.

Responsibilities

  • Become a trusted finance business partner for assigned stakeholders.
  • Ensure monthly financial accounting and reporting is accurate and timely, including headcount.
  • Analyze monthly financial variances to annual plan/forecast, identify causes of change, and develop remediation approaches.
  • Partner to create annual plans and quarterly forecasts, ensuring outputs are linked to critical drivers and all assumptions are visible and agreed.
  • Perform monthly analysis on Technology spend to identify trends and create business insights.
  • Provide sound advice on financial transactions, ensuring adherence to company policy.
  • Identify and monitor key business drivers to drive efficiencies.
  • Create presentation materials for use in monthly and quarterly business reviews.
  • Conduct decision support analysis as requested, including preparation of Business Cases.
  • Manage other ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1-2 years experience in finance/accounting or related, including FP&A.
  • Demonstrable skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Attention to detail in reviewing large sets of data and financial modeling experience.
  • A track record of following through on commitments.
  • Ability to work independently and with ambiguity across multiple time zones in a fast-growing environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of finance concepts and internal controls.
  • Strong modeling and system skills (Excel, TM1).
  • Ability to liaise with key stakeholders (VP & Business Partners).
  • A self-starting individual, initiating action without the need to be prompted by others.
  • Demand high performance of themselves and others, ensuring that goals and expectations are clear and met.
