About the position
The Finance and Accounting Analyst 2 at Oregon Health & Science University plays a vital role in the financial processes related to clinical trial budgets. This position specializes in the budget negotiation phase of pre-award, ensuring that robust study budgets are developed in collaboration with industry sponsors. The analyst will work closely with investigators and study teams to strategize negotiations and forecast costs associated with clinical trials, which can last an average of four years. The role is eligible for telework and can be performed 100% remotely within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Collect data and work on varied phases of financial processes and analysis relating to clinical trial budgets.
- Specialize in the budget negotiation phase of pre-award.
- Collaborate with industry sponsors to negotiate study budgets that account for all research costs and personnel effort.
- Work with investigators and study teams to strategize for negotiations and field escalations during the negotiation process.
- Ensure final budgets meet the needs of study teams and patients.
- Forecast current and future costs associated with clinical trials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible relevant work experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience in an Academic Health Center or relevant financial specialization.
