About the position

Habitat for Humanity of Omaha is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance and Business Analyst to join their finance team. This role is crucial for analyzing, interpreting, and forecasting financial data, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decisions, and contributing to the achievement of strategic goals. The analyst will play a key part in supporting Habitat's mission of providing affordable housing solutions to those in need.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and evaluate financial and operational metrics.
• Maintain rolling 5-year forecasts, ensuring alignment with the strategic plan.
• Develop financial models, what-if scenarios, and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
• Assist in developing annual operating budgets and review budget-to-actual performance throughout the year.
• Identify financial trends, variances, and opportunities to drive revenue and streamline costs.
• Analyze operational processes and provide insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Gather and interpret data to support strategic initiatives and business development.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business strategies.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
• Create ad-hoc financial reporting as requested by team members.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and financial regulations.
• Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial or business analysis roles.
• Proven experience working in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience working in NetSuite.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
