About the position

The Finance and Data Aide is responsible for managing cash benefits for refugees and overseeing the financial details of various refugee programs. This role involves data entry for client and financial information into databases, ensuring accurate processing of cash assistance and other benefits, and maintaining required records.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all cash assistance processes for clients under applicable programs in accordance with the cash processing timeline.
  • Administer benefits provided to clients such as rent payments, bus passes, food coupons, and housing supplies.
  • Process employee and contractor expense requests on a scheduled basis.
  • Issue emergency checks as needed.
  • Compile and transmit data to the Colorado Refugee Services Program database.
  • Maintain required records and complete initial file quality assurances.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, email, and other applications.
  • Accounting or advanced bookkeeping skills.
  • Detail-oriented with extensive documentation skills and the ability to work in a multi-tasked environment.
  • Ability to self-start and work well in a team setting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Functional fluency in one or more foreign languages.
  • Broad knowledge of practices, principles, and methods employed in the resettlement of refugees.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of United States Immigration laws and regulations.
