About the position

The Finance and Pricing Manager at A P Ventures, LLC (APV) is responsible for overseeing all corporate finance and pricing functions within the growth department. This role requires a strong understanding of government contracting, GAAP, FAR, and DCAA compliance, and involves managing financial operations, budgeting, and pricing strategies to support the company's mission and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and leadership of the financial and pricing operations of the company.
  • Ensure thorough budget and financial statements are prepared.
  • Supervise several staff members in accounting and finance.
  • Manage day-to-day financial matters.
  • Develop pricing strategies and submissions for all proposals.
  • Make recommendations for the executive team on financial and business operations matters.
  • Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate financial/operating plans, including projected revenue models and budgets.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual financial audit.
  • Lead all tax-related matters, both internal and external.
  • Assist with APV Accounting operations to ensure compliance with GovCon financial management policies and GAAP.
  • Collaborate on accounts payable and receivables matters.
  • Ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing operations.
  • Collaborate with payment operations, including payroll.
  • Plan, manage, and execute business volume and proposal efforts.
  • Maintain all contract pricing schedules and compile cost, schedule, and technical elements for proposals.
  • Assist in developing negotiation strategies and participate in negotiations with external parties.
  • Lead and manage all pricing activities.
  • Develop contract labor category rates consistent with APV pricing strategy.
  • Responsible for all annual financial reports required by external parties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of proposal, pricing, or financial-related experience, or a Master's Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 7+ years experience in a senior financial management position with successful government contractors.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Professional accounting background and certification.
  • Advanced computer skills, including expertise in MS Office Excel and GovCon-approved accounting systems.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Data analysis and strategic planning experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Formal training in federal contract proposal development and management (e.g., Shipley or comparable).
  • Experience with UNANET accounting systems.
