About the position

The Finance Applications System Analyst role at PrePass is pivotal in ensuring the effective management and oversight of vendor systems that support the company's operations. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the various systems in use, their integration points, and the services they provide. The analyst will be responsible for monitoring system development, ensuring compliance, and managing performance across a portfolio of vendor systems. This includes analyzing financial information to keep projects on track and ensuring that the systems meet the business needs without creating unnecessary manual processes. In this role, the incumbent will engage in detailed analysis of business requirements, working closely with vendors to design and implement features that enhance system functionality. The analyst will facilitate communication among stakeholders, including developers and product managers, to ensure that user stories are accurately captured and that the implementation aligns with business objectives. Testing of new features and training users will also be key responsibilities, ensuring that all changes are well-documented and understood by the end-users. The Finance Applications System Analyst will also conduct system health checks, manage trouble tickets, and oversee service requests, ensuring that all systems operate smoothly and efficiently. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and performance of the vendor systems that support PrePass's operations, ultimately contributing to the company's mission of providing advanced weigh station bypass and toll payment solutions.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on user needs and business systems requirements.
• Provide consultation on complex projects and contribute to vendor systems analysis phases.
• Capture business requirements and write user stories effectively.
• Write acceptance criteria in BDD orientation of business language.
• Review vendor SDD and FSD documentation and track all related documentation.
• Verify that code meets the acceptance criteria established.
• Coordinate releases, patches, and upgrades for vendor systems with minimal business impact.
• Communicate effectively with developers regarding user stories and requirements implementation.
• Collaborate with product managers on product roadmap and backlog grooming.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather user feedback and refine requirements.
• Conduct system health checks, manage trouble tickets, and oversee service requests.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, project management, or a related field.
• Proficient in SQL querying skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Previous training experience is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex business issues.
• Business analysis skills are essential.
• Project management and quality assurance skills are a plus.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Background in billing and/or finance is advantageous.
