About the position

The Finance Associate position at Rose International in Columbus, IN, is a temporary role focused on providing administrative and financial support within the tax department. The successful candidate will manage communications, assist with financial processes, and ensure efficient operations while handling confidential information with care. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to RD credit emails, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding issues.
  • Provide backup support for sorting and distributing mail within the tax department and manage the tax administration electronic mailbox.
  • Support the management of purchase orders, track expenses, handle accruals, and assist with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) management.
  • Process payments and check requests for federal, state, and miscellaneous expenses, including purchase requisitions and invoice reconciliation.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries and manage IT costs associated with KPMG.
  • Process state notices and manage mailing requirements.
  • Maintain organizational charts, manage HFM maintenance, and prepare reports, including managing 1099s and Power of Attorney (POA) documents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with three years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with one year of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or business.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and sense urgency for tasks at hand.
  • Knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and equipment.
  • Ability to clearly present information through spoken or written communication and listen well.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information properly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in tax analysis and credit analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial processes and administrative duties.
