About the position

Join our dynamic Finance Business Center as a Finance/Budget Analyst III and play a pivotal role in supporting the Facilities and Business Operations (FBO) leadership team in achieving their strategic goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of new revenue streams and the strategic allocation of resources. You will be instrumental in decision-making and planning by preparing and reviewing accurate and timely financial information. Key responsibilities include financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, forecasting, and reconciliation of financial transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and approve day-to-day financial transactions in Workday.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting allocations and spending data; track budget balances and measure actual performance against the budget.
  • Create annual cost center budgets, conduct monthly forecasts and variance analyses, and generate ad hoc management reports.
  • Prepare budget and general ledger reviews, perform routine account reconciliations, and ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Oversee accounts receivable related to lease agreements, including timely invoicing, collections, and payment reconciliation in collaboration with the Real Estate office.
  • Provide high-level customer service and support to operational managers.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive business process documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or combination of relevant comparable education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
  • 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, ideally within a facilities management setting.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, charts, and macros.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, trend identification, and storytelling through data.
  • Demonstrated experience in critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical decision-making.
  • Familiarity with Workday or similar financial systems is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with leadership and senior management, including the preparation and presentation of financial reports and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and ability to foster and maintain partnerships with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in higher education is a plus.
  • Financial certifications such as CPA are highly desirable.
