About the position

The Finance Business Operations Analyst for Infrastructure at Meta plays a crucial role in enabling effective planning, prioritization, and execution within the organization. This position requires a long-term perspective on business problems, acting as a financial adviser to business partners while balancing the responsibility of supporting them with the sustainability of Meta's resources. The analyst will manage server component inventory strategies, cost forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring that business decisions are informed by accurate data and insights.

Responsibilities

  • Driving server fleet component inventory strategy by assessing business decisions around component inventory purchases.
  • Owning server rack cost forecasts, requiring an understanding of server components, supplier ecosystems, and market dynamics.
  • Managing decisions around server component inventory positions by collaborating with business partners to understand lead times, financial risks, and supply dynamics.
  • Forecasting the outlook for server component costs quarterly by analyzing market conditions such as supply and demand and pricing elasticity.
  • Ensuring cost trends and drivers are well understood through regular reporting and analysis, developing accurate forecasts to drive accountability.
  • Developing tools to automate and streamline reporting, creating financial KPIs/metrics to assist business partners in financial decision-making.
  • Presenting value analysis and recommendations to stakeholders across product, business, and finance.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in finance, business strategy, or a related function.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related discipline.
  • Experience manipulating large data sets and working with system and analytics tools (e.g., Hyperion, SQL) to derive business insights.
  • Familiarity with applicable accounting concepts and financial planning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Dashboarding skills (e.g., Tableau).
  • Experience building relationships and communicating with stakeholders across all levels and functions.
  • Experience working in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to synthesize strategic business insights and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience partnering with engineering functions.
  • Knowledge of server component technology (CPU, DRAM, SSD, HDD, etc.).
