About the position

Meta is seeking a highly quantitative, analytical, and motivated Finance Business Operations Manager for the Finance Capacity team. This role is pivotal in advising on how to allocate infrastructure capacity to meet strategic and financial objectives. The position involves analyzing and modeling ROI of infrastructure investments, understanding AI technologies in the ads ecosystem, and developing insights to influence financial decision-making. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership to enhance the data science craft at Meta.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead projects end-to-end, in partnership with data science, finance, Infra or cross-functional teams to inform and influence capacity investment decisions.
  • Build frameworks to analyze business implications, influence measurement standards and extrapolate experiment results into highly accurate and explainable forecasts.
  • Navigate complex cross-functional situations and evaluate analyses to reach alignment on objective business outcomes.
  • Influence financial and product direction through clear and compelling presentations, including to leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis or predictive modeling to inform business/financial strategy.
  • BA/BS in quantitative field (data science, computer science, economics, finance, etc.) or equivalent degree/experience.
  • Effective collaboration, business communication and project leading skills - viewed as an analytics thought leader by business partners in solving complex cross-functional problems.
  • Work experience in the infrastructure and/or capacity domain areas.
  • Expert-level skills in extracting and manipulating large datasets using data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and turning the data into actionable insights.

Nice-to-haves

  • Highly self-motivated and results oriented - willing to go the extra mile to drive impact.
  • Proven track record in synthesizing analytical insights to influence decision-making through data-centric presentations, and communicating effectively across business and technical domains (including to executive audiences).
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
  • Experience in scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical software (e.g. R).
