About the position

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for managing day-to-day finance operations while aligning processes with Aristocrat Labs' strategic objectives. This role serves as a key business partner to the Finance community and Technology leadership, influencing the financial and strategic direction of the organization. The position involves collaboration across various stakeholders to optimize tools and processes for a centralized gaming technology development function.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and provide advice through proactive monitoring of performance.
  • Input to short-term and long-range planning cycles.
  • Create forecasting models to project future spending based on product roadmap and financial events.
  • Act as a commercial business partner to the Technology leadership team to drive insights and support business commitments.
  • Partner with the Director, Commercial to build business cases and manage investment spend.
  • Support the execution of the quarterly forecasting process.
  • Manage the reporting of monthly performance plans to Technology leadership, integrating historical performance with operational forecasts.
  • Proactively analyze and seek improvement opportunities to enhance performance and control environment.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to drive value add and continuous improvement across the business.
  • Manage cost base to agreed targets for headcount and expenses.
  • Ensure accuracy of month-end accounts and submissions to corporate, leading the accounting close process.
  • Partner with Director, Commercial Finance and VP, Business Operations to evaluate and track strategic initiatives.
  • Report and analyze individual cost lines on P&L monthly, detailing variances.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in Commercial Analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven proficiency in accounting and strong knowledge of reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and across multiple time zones in a fast-growing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; effective partnership with all organizational levels.
  • Solid working knowledge of finance concepts and internal controls.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • Strong modeling and system skills (Excel, TM1).
  • Ability to liaise with key stakeholders (VP & Business Partners).
  • Creative, innovative, energetic, and flexible.
  • Self-starting individual who initiates action without prompting.
  • Demand high performance from themselves and others, ensuring clear goals and expectations.
