About the position

The Chief of Staff team plays a crucial role in supporting the CFO by engaging in strategic activities that enhance transparency and connectivity across Finance leadership. This project-oriented position requires a strategic, organized individual who is meticulous about documentation and data accuracy. The role offers significant exposure to the Finance division and the broader financial services industry, focusing on maximizing the CFO's efficiency and adding strategic value through various initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute special projects raised by the team and/or the CFO.
  • Manage strategic initiatives and ensure successful delivery.
  • Work closely with firmwide teams to anticipate future requests.
  • Educate the larger team on Firm/Finance initiatives.
  • Develop ideas for non-administrative agenda items for team meetings.
  • Flag and summarize interesting events, research reports, articles, etc.
  • Maximize travel and site visit schedules and accompanying engagement events.
  • Identify and vet both internal and external meeting/event opportunities.
  • Prepare briefings for the CFO's meetings with clients and vendors.
  • Prepare talking points, communications, reference data, and PowerPoint presentations for meetings.
  • Facilitate Finance Management Committee offsites and oversight, MD/officer meetings.
  • Listen to market/macro update calls and distill key takeaways/themes for senior management.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, etc. to stay connected on media, investors, and regulators.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in financial services.
  • Understanding of the Firm, financial services industry, market landscape, and relevant topics.
  • Self-starter with strong project management skills.
  • Ability to interact with different business functions and levels of seniority across the Firm.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Superior attention to detail with a commitment to organization and accuracy.
  • Collaborative and adaptable team player.
