About the position

The Finance Co-Op position at Precision Castparts Corp. offers a unique opportunity for interns to gain hands-on experience in the finance department of a leading manufacturing company. This internship is designed for students who are eager to learn about financial operations within a large organization, particularly in the aerospace and industrial sectors. Interns will be involved in various financial tasks, including daily profit and loss (P&L) analysis, travel expense processing, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). The role emphasizes the importance of understanding variable costs and communicating effectively with department managers to provide them with relevant financial information. Interns will support the operations team by conducting data analysis, responding to financial inquiries, and assisting in month-end close activities. Additionally, interns will perform internal audits to ensure adherence to critical control measures, contributing to the overall financial integrity of the organization. The position requires maintaining a positive work atmosphere and effective communication with colleagues and supervisors.
