About the position

The Finance Data Domain Architect - Vice President role at Chase involves leading the development and management of the Consumer Analytic Reporting Infrastructure. This position supports the JPMorgan Private Client model and focuses on delivering high-quality data and analysis to assess financial performance across various dimensions such as deposit accounts, products, branches, and client segments. The role requires collaboration with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, translating those into data solutions, and managing a global team of Data Domain Architects.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and functional needs.
  • Lead design of data products to meet business objectives.
  • Manage delivery roadmap with the Business Banking CARI Lead and Technology partners.
  • Translate business requirements into prototype solutions for new/enhancement requests.
  • Develop a data model and work with Data Owner and Technology partners to review and catalog new data assets.
  • Manage demand for ad hoc analytical requests from business partners.
  • Provide high responsiveness to meet business priorities.
  • Perform 'what-if' scenario data analytics and regulatory inquiries.
  • Develop and implement standard reporting solutions in support of Consumer Banking Finance partners.
  • Re-engineer CARI processes to enhance speed and resilience.
  • Support Technology and Data modernization efforts impacting CARI data sourcing and processing.
  • Manage a global functional team of six Data Domain Architects.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience within MIS, Business Intelligence, and/or Analytics roles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize complex work.
  • Ability to translate information requirements into data sourcing and functional requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze data.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence an audience.
  • Proficient in SQL query writing and knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
  • Exposure to Business Intelligence toolsets and database platforms such as AWS, Databricks, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Cognos, BO, or SAS/R.
  • Proficient in data & business intelligence concepts including ETL, Data Modeling, Reporting Automation, and Dashboarding.

Nice-to-haves

  • Managerial experience in setting team direction and coaching/developing staff.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and governance principles.
  • Experience driving a Technology book of work.
  • Cloud data warehouse experience, e.g. AWS, Databricks, Snowflake.
