About the position

The Director of Program Finance is responsible for managing the financial strategy, forecasting, and business operations within the Broadband Communications Systems Sector of an award-winning aerospace and defense company. This senior-level role requires extensive experience in financial management and strategic guidance, partnering with key leaders to enhance working capital and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) reporting, including Monthly Financial Reviews (MFR), Annual Operating Plans (AOP), and Strategic Plans (SP).
• Work with program leaders to evaluate Estimate at Completion (EAC), identifying risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations to implement Working Capital improvements and meet AOP/SP goals.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives and propose systems and process enhancements.
• Review proposals, quotes, and financial reports to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Recruit, train, and develop finance staff, providing coaching and performance monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience in a finance or accounting-related role, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years.
• In lieu of a degree, 19 years of related experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and compliance.
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense & Aerospace government finance standards.
• Experience with diverse contract types: Fixed Price, Fixed Unit Rate, Cost Plus, and Time & Material.
• Proficiency in Earned Value Management, program controls, and SOX compliance.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years in Indirect Cost and Rate Management.
• 5+ years in a management role with demonstrated responsibility growth.
• Master's Degree preferred.
