About the position

The Director of Finance for Digital Strategy & Technology at Trane Technologies serves as a vital business partner to the Chief Digital Officer and senior leaders, overseeing all financial and accounting aspects for the digital corporate function and related businesses. This role is instrumental in collaborating with business units on digital strategy and investments to achieve business objectives, while ensuring compliance and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to the Chief Digital Officer and other senior leaders by providing financial and accounting support.
  • Own the controllership for the digital function and digital-related businesses, ensuring accurate financials and full compliance.
  • Lead monthly close process and management reporting for the digital-related businesses, highlighting risks and opportunities to achieve targets.
  • Lead quarterly forecast updates, annual budget process, and multi-year business planning process for the digital corporate function and digital-related businesses.
  • Support financial due diligence and integration for digital-related acquisitions.
  • Partner with leadership on strategic analyses and development of presentations for key meetings such as Quarterly Business Reviews and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Perform frequent and complex ad hoc assignments.
  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA/CPA preferred.
  • 15+ years of Finance experience required.
  • Experience with a multinational company with software as a service experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build highly effective teams and develop talent.
  • Lean mindset, with a proven track record of delivering process excellence.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with executive management and key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong work ethic and a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt to and work effectively in an environment of continuous change.
  • High personal integrity and ethics, and inclusive approach.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams) as well as OneStream Finance reporting applications.
