About the position

The Finance Controller for ESS Support Services Worldwide will oversee all accounting aspects of the business, driving financial strategy and planning. This role involves assessing financial performance, managing accounting functions, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. The Finance Controller will also lead a team and support operations with financial oversight of contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
• Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting.
• Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, supporting the annual budget and forecasts in consultation with the regional Vice President.
• Develop a strong understanding of contracts within the sector and support financial oversight of these contracts.
• Support management reporting during and post period end, including P&L, inventory, AR, AP, and other analytical reports.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance and accounting resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Master's degree or CPA required.
• Proven experience in managing financial operations across multiple contracts, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
• Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data, trends, and processes.
• Strong experience with SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Strong organization and time management skills to manage multiple priorities accurately and timely.
• Strong professional and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and influencing others.
