About the position

The Finance Director at Oxford College of Emory University serves as the principal financial officer for the division, overseeing financial planning, accounting activities, and operational functions. This role involves leadership in long-range financial planning, budgeting, and analysis of financial trends, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting. The Finance Director will also manage cash flow, develop financial goals, and oversee special projects, while collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate projects and maintain financial health.

Responsibilities

• Direct financial planning and accounting activities for the division.
• Provide leadership in long-range financial planning, trending, and budgeting.
• Analyze and present financial trends and generate executive summaries of financial reports.
• Prepare recommendations for budget utilization and ensure financial integrity.
• Develop short and long-term financial goals and implement fiscal policies.
• Assess cash needs, manage cash flow, and maximize fund utilization.
• Oversee and manage special projects and conduct feasibility analyses.
• Prepare financial sections for various reports and evaluate funding levels for operations.
• Monitor and develop action plans for deficit accounts and funds flow.
• Collaborate with others to facilitate projects and ensure timelines are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, or a related field.
• Seven years of professional experience in accounting, finance, project management, or strategic planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
