About the position

The Director of Finance will play a crucial role in the leadership team, overseeing all aspects of financial analysis under the CFO's guidance. This position focuses on strategic business and financial planning, budgeting, and analysis, while also scaling the finance function. The Director will collaborate closely with the Co-Presidents, COO, CFO, and department leaders to ensure effective financial operations and business partnering.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the strategic management of the business and act as a key advisor to the CFO and other executives.
• Develop systematic procedures for financial planning and analysis, including annual operating plans and forecasts.
• Lead the finance team in providing financial support for product lines through forecasting, reporting, and business modeling.
• Manage cash flow and communicate future cash projections and requirements.
• Work with sales and marketing leadership to evaluate business opportunities and pricing effectiveness.
• Partner with COO and CFO to drive operational improvements and establish KPIs/dashboards.
• Support the accounting team in audits and tax compliance needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10-15 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a finance leadership role in medium-sized businesses.
• Experience in providing analytical partnership across all areas of an organization.
• Experience leading an enterprise in a holistic annual budgeting exercise driven by strategic planning.
• Experience working with private equity firms, preferably in consumer products businesses.
• Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting; MBA highly desirable.
• Top-level Excel skills and experience with Netsuite and Power BI.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of visualization tools and database management tools.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP system.
• Public company reporting experience.
