About the position

Pregis is seeking a Finance Director who will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the Performance Films business unit. This role is pivotal as it involves contributing to the development of the company strategy across all areas of the business unit. The Finance Director will challenge assumptions and decision-making processes, providing financial analysis and guidance on activities, plans, targets, and business drivers to optimize the company's financial performance and strategic position. The successful candidate will partner with the business unit president and leadership team to execute an accelerated five-year growth strategy aimed at increasing the business fivefold within that timeframe. In this role, the Finance Director will direct activities related to revenue generation, cost management, capital expenditure investment, asset management, and the balance sheet of the business unit. The position requires planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing, and evaluating the organization's financial function and performance. Establishing and maintaining a high-performing team is crucial, as is fostering growth and development within that team. Additionally, the Finance Director will drive cash flow and manage the working capital of the business, ensuring the financial health of the unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial leadership within a progressive organization, with operational finance experience and a proven track record in managing a multi-million dollar P&L, preferably in a product manufacturing context. This role is not just about managing finances; it is about being a strategic partner in the business, contributing to its growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial aspects of the Performance Films business unit.
  • Contribute to the development of the company strategy across all areas of the business unit.
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance on activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.
  • Partner with the business unit president and leadership team to execute a five-year growth strategy.
  • Direct activities related to revenue generation, cost management, and capital expenditure investment.
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization's financial function and performance.
  • Establish and maintain a high-performing finance team.

Requirements

  • Prior financial leadership experience in a progressive organization.
  • Operational finance experience with at least three years in a leadership position.
  • Experience with SAP is critical.
  • Proven experience leading a multi-million dollar P&L, preferably in a product manufacturing business.
  • Seven to fifteen years of experience in a related manufacturing industry.
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting; MBA preferred.
  • CPA/CMA preferred.
