About the position

The Finance Director at Black Knight Patrol, Inc. will play a pivotal role in the management team, focusing on action-oriented solutions and strong leadership. The Finance Director will be responsible for the complete financial management of the company, leading the accounting department towards success. This includes oversight of operations and their financial impacts, effective communication of findings, and problem-solving in collaboration with the management team and other stakeholders at headquarters. Key responsibilities include building and delivering financial policies and strategies that enhance the business's financial status, analyzing and reporting on financial performance, and leading the accounting team. The Finance Director will also be tasked with reconciling all accounts, correcting variances, and ensuring data accuracy in accordance with GAAP. Additional duties involve preparing forecasts and comprehensive budgets, monitoring cash flow and financial transactions, assessing and managing risk, and overseeing tax functions. Staying updated on information technology, organizational policies, and current accounting standards is also essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight and discovery of operations impact and their financial results, effectively communicating findings, and problem solving with the management team or various others in headquarters.
  • Build and deliver financial policies and strategies that improve the business' financial status.
  • Analyzing and reporting on financial performance.
  • Leading the accounting team.
  • Reconciliations on all accounts, correct variances and verify accurate data as the lead/final authority per GAAP.
  • Preparing forecasts and comprehensive budgets.
  • Monitoring cash flow and financial transactions.
  • Assessing, managing, and minimizing risk.
  • Managing internal controls.
  • Analyzing complex financial data.
  • Oversight of tax functions.
  • Maintain an updated knowledge of information technology, organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field required.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
  • 4+ years of proven experience as a senior-level Accounting or Finance Manager preferred.
  • 3+ years of proven management experience required.
  • Absolute integrity, honesty and trustworthy; uses discretion regarding confidentiality issues.
