About the position

The Finance Director at iMMAP is responsible for overseeing the financial health and stability of the organization. This role involves managing accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with funder regulations. The Finance Director collaborates closely with the CEO and other senior executives to ensure efficient use of financial resources and to drive the overall performance of iMMAP. This position is hybrid, requiring regular visits to the D.C. office, and includes supervising finance staff and managing relationships with external partners and grantors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations of iMMAP Inc.
  • Collaborate with the CEO on financial priorities including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with funder regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide timely financial reports and guidance to staff.
  • Oversee revenue collection, expense management, and budget oversight.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and manage financial reporting systems.
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivable, external payroll service, and external audit.
  • Review and approve field office fund requests and financial reports.
  • Act as a business liaison with grantors and partner agencies.
  • Manage the annual audit and preparation of Form 990.
  • Oversee procurement of goods and services in compliance with funder requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.
  • CPA, MBA, or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience managing financial operations of an organization.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience leading audit preparation and financial reporting.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in contract and grants management.
  • Knowledge of federal government regulations including 2 CFR 200, FAR, and AIDAR.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting application systems, preferably MIP.
  • Strong analytical and financial data analysis skills.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills; French or Arabic skills a plus.
