About the position

The Finance Manager/Accountant will oversee the financial operations of a dynamic plumbing contractor company, ensuring compliance with regulations and contributing to strategic development. This role involves managing accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while also leading a finance team and collaborating with other departments to support company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax filings, financial disclosures, and reporting obligations.
• Collaborate with other departments to support strategic decision-making and achieve company objectives.
• Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of Five (5) years of relevant experience in finance, with a focus on the construction industry.
• Proficiency with accounting software, particularly with QuickBooks.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
• Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing a team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
