About the position

The Finance Manager for Amazon Intermodal Finance will provide financial leadership and insights to support the growth of Amazon's multimodal capabilities. This role involves deep analysis of business drivers, financial modeling, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to influence strategic decisions and ensure alignment with financial goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing financial plans, establishing KPIs, and improving finance tools to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of short-range and long-range plans for the end-to-end Supply Chain of the Intermodal business.
  • Drive quarterly guidance reviews and develop OP1/3YF and OP2 plans, ensuring alignment with leadership's financial goals.
  • Establish financial and operational KPIs and guardrails based on key input drivers in collaboration with Intermodal leadership.
  • Own E2E CAPEX planning for both AZIM and IM-External business, including building ROI, FCF, PBP, and IRR models.
  • Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively and improve finance tools across teams and organizations.
  • Collaborate with FP&A teams to ensure seamless integration of the Intermodal business unit plan into overall financial plans.
  • Foster constructive dialogues and drive decisions by having backbone, disagreeing, and committing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field.
  • 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Demonstrable finance experience with senior leadership
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools (e.g., ETL, SQL, Tableau)
  • 5+ years of experience in building and managing financial models for forecasting and problem solving
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
