About the position

The Finance Manager for Amazon Intermodal Finance will provide financial leadership and insights to support the growth of Amazon's multimodal capabilities. This role involves deep diving into business drivers, analyzing complex data, and influencing business decisions to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of freight. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, establish financial and operational KPIs, and drive strategic planning for the Intermodal business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of short-range and long-range plans for the end-to-end Supply Chain of the Intermodal business.
• Drive quarterly guidance reviews and develop OP1/3YF and OP2 plans, ensuring alignment with leadership's financial goals.
• Establish financial and operational KPIs and guardrails based on key input drivers in collaboration with Intermodal leadership.
• Own E2E CAPEX planning for both AZIM and IM-External business, including building ROI, FCF, PBP, and IRR models.
• Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively and improve finance tools across teams.
• Collaborate with FP&A teams to ensure seamless integration of the Intermodal business unit plan into overall financial plans.
• Foster constructive dialogues and drive decisions with senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field.
• 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools (e.g., ETL, SQL, Tableau)
• 5+ years of experience in building and managing financial models for business forecasting.
