The Finance Manager for AWS Infra Finance plays a crucial role in the financial operations of Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leading cloud computing platform. The AWS Finance team is responsible for providing comprehensive financial support for a multi-billion dollar business, ensuring that AWS maintains its leadership in customer experience while optimizing costs. In this role, you will be part of the Global Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team within AWS Data Center Infrastructure Operations Finance. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating with regional finance teams and the central FP&A team to drive standardization and efficiency across the organization. You will take ownership of the planning and forecasting processes for the annual operating expenses (Opex) and capital expenditures (capex) on a global scale. As the finance expert, you will be responsible for budgeting, variance analysis, and driving key financial metrics that are essential for decision-making. You will collaborate with both finance and non-finance teams to facilitate forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. This role requires you to define and maintain internal finance controls for transactions and processes, ensuring compliance with established finance and accounting standards. Additionally, you will support ad-hoc analysis and reporting related to data center operations, contributing to the financial rhythms of the business, including the annual operating plan and long-range planning. Your outputs will be highly visible, as they will be included in month-end packages presented to senior leadership and decision-makers. The FP&A team is tasked with delivering actionable insights in a timely manner, and you will help establish the pace of the finance team to meet these objectives.
