About the position

The Finance Manager for AWS Sales and Services, focusing on IoT and Immersive Tech Finance, is responsible for managing the financial performance of AWS IoT services. This role involves full P&L responsibility, influencing business decisions, and driving financial planning and analysis to optimize costs and capital expenditures. The position requires collaboration with senior finance management and key business partners to support pricing decisions and ensure financial accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support AWS IoT P&Ls and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures
• Lead financial planning and analysis; build and maintain complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance
• Support modeling efforts for pricing decisions and cost savings initiatives
• Maintain controllership of the business, ensuring all financial fundamentals are correct and accurate
• Analyze new business ideas, make analytical judgments, and provide data-intensive analyses to drive meaningful change

Requirements

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Nice-to-haves

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
