About the position

The Finance Manager for E2E North America will play a crucial role in shaping Amazon's supply chain by overseeing financial planning for Canada Operations. This position involves collaborating with various teams to optimize performance, track key metrics, and drive strategic initiatives. The role is high visibility, requiring the candidate to present insights and reports to senior leadership, while also managing cost and KPI reporting to enhance financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic supply chain initiatives with business and finance partners by presenting financial and non-financial trade-offs using data.
  • Improve the Canada FP&A processes to simplify and improve accuracy in the consolidation of planning and reporting.
  • Oversee financial reporting for your business area, ensuring integrity and influencing strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and resolve complex data integrity issues while improving controls to address financial risk.
  • Communicate data clearly and concisely to various audiences, driving critical business decisions.
  • Become an expert in your lane to contribute to work-life harmony and model operations excellence.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science).
  • 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data and creating/implementing an escalation plan.
  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges with financial models and analysis that impact business outcomes.
  • MBA or CPA certification.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
  • Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience in delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation.
