About the position

The Finance Manager for E2E North America at Amazon plays a crucial role in shaping the company's supply chain operations. This position involves collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient financial planning and reporting, driving performance through actionable insights, and optimizing the supply chain network. The role is highly visible, requiring the candidate to present financial narratives to senior leadership and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) that impact financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic supply chain initiatives with business and finance partners by presenting financial and non-financial trade-offs using data.
  • Improve the Canada FP&A processes to simplify and improve accuracy in the consolidation of planning and reporting.
  • Oversee financial reporting for your business area, understanding input drivers and validating the integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning.
  • Identify, resolve, or provide guidance to resolve complex data integrity issues, improving controls to address financial risk and support frugality.
  • Communicate data clearly and concisely, adjusting style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly.
  • Become an expert in your lane to contribute to work-life harmony and model operations excellence.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)
  • 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
