About the position

The Finance Manager at E2E North America plays a crucial role in shaping Amazon's supply chain by overseeing financial planning for North America Operations. This high-visibility position involves collaborating with various teams to consolidate financials, track performance, and drive analysis to optimize operations. The role requires a creative problem solver who can surface actionable insights and influence decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic supply chain initiatives with business and finance partners by presenting financial and non-financial trade-offs using data.
  • Improve the Canada FP&A processes to simplify and improve accuracy in the consolidation of planning and reporting.
  • Oversee financial reporting for your business area, understanding input drivers and validating the integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning.
  • Identify, resolve, or provide guidance to resolve complex data integrity issues, improving controls to address financial risk and support frugality.
  • Communicate data clearly and concisely, adjusting style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly.
  • Become an expert in your lane to contribute to work-life harmony and model operations excellence.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)
  • 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
