About the position

The Finance Manager for E2E North America at Amazon plays a crucial role in shaping the company's supply chain operations. The role is highly visible, requiring the candidate to craft documents for reviews with senior leadership and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve business economics.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic supply chain initiatives with business and finance partners by presenting financial and non-financial trade-offs using data.
• Improve the Canada FP&A processes to simplify and improve accuracy in the consolidation of planning and reporting.
• Oversee financial reporting for your business area, understanding input drivers and validating the integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning.
• Identify, resolve, or provide guidance to resolve complex data integrity issues, improving controls to address financial risk.
• Communicate data clearly and concisely to various audiences, driving critical business decisions.
• Become an expert in your lane to contribute to work-life harmony and model operations excellence.

Requirements

• BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)
• 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
• 5+ years of solving complex business challenges with accurate financial models and analysis experience.
• MBA or CPA preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
