About the position

The Finance Manager for the Finance Operations Business Partnership (BP) team at Amazon Business will play a crucial role in supporting the order-to-cash (O2C) process. This position involves developing and maintaining operational and business metrics, driving global operational reviews, and implementing improvements to meet targets. The Finance Manager will collaborate with various teams across the organization, including Accounts Receivable, Sales, Finance, and Tech, to solve complex problems and conduct financial analyses in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities

• Define key performance indicators and develop operational and business metrics and service level agreements for programs and processes.
• Consolidate inputs and challenge assumptions on performance drivers and projections from stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain effective partnerships between Finance Operations, Service Centers, and Amazon Business teams.
• Obtain and summarize critical data sets to trace defect areas to primary root cause drivers and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
• Solve critical customer, process, and system escalations effectively to ensure root cause analysis and effective problem resolution.
• Identify and quantify financial and operational risks and opportunities.
• Support operational escalations to ensure root cause analysis and effective problem resolution.

Requirements

• 6+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
• 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
• 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.
• 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
• 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field, or Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
• MBA or CPA.
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
