About the position

The Finance Manager for the Finance Operations Business Partnership team at Amazon will play a crucial role in supporting the Kuiper order-to-cash (O2C) process. This position involves developing and maintaining operational and business metrics, driving global operational reviews, and implementing improvements to meet targets. The Finance Manager will collaborate with various departments, including Accounts Receivable, Sales, Finance, and Legal, to address complex problems and perform financial analysis in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define key performance indicators and develop operational and business metrics for programs and processes.
  • Consolidate inputs and challenge assumptions on performance drivers and projections from stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships between Finance Operations, Service Centers, and Kuiper Business & Finance.
  • Obtain and summarize critical data sets to trace defect areas to primary root cause drivers and influence roadmap decisions.
  • Solve critical customer, process, and system escalations effectively to ensure root cause analysis and problem resolution.
  • Identify and quantify financial and operational risks and opportunities.
  • Support operational escalations to ensure effective problem resolution.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.
  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects with measurable results experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
  • MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
  • Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
