About the position

The Finance Manager for Free Cash Flow within Amazon's Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team plays a crucial role in supporting the CFO and senior leadership by providing strategic insights into financial performance. This position focuses on the production and administration of key finance deliverables, particularly related to free cash flow, capital expenditures, and operational reporting. The role involves collaborating with various business finance teams to enhance financial models and reporting processes, ultimately driving informed business decisions across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead executive level Free Cash Flow (FCF) related projects.
  • Contribute to Balance Sheet Working Capital and/or Capex forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
  • Perform financial analyses and provide insightful narratives related to Working Capital, Capex, and FCF.
  • Gather, define, and drive requirements for and prioritize projects to improve reporting functionality, accuracy, and automation.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and data support for business teams and finance leadership.
  • Enhance existing forecasting models.
  • Build executive level presentations highlighting the quarterly financial results and related guidance ranges.
  • Present ad hoc business analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Consult on company-wide forecasting activities.
  • Recommend and deliver improvements and provide scoping documents for system and process enhancements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
  • 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.
  • Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience with general Accounting around working capital, capex, and/or Free Cash Flow.
