About the position

Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager, individual contributor supporting the Program Office in the Environmental & Airframe Control Systems (EACS) business within Power & Controls. The Finance Manager will be responsible for and will oversee the reporting and consolidation of the Program Office, engineering projects and financials, forecast and plans. In this role, you will engage in financial reporting, planning, and analysis in compliance with GAAP and all RTX policies and procedures. You will be responsible for journal entry, P&L, and Balance Sheet account review and approval. Additionally, you will generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, operations, programs, engineering, and other areas of business for financial and strategic planning purposes. You will oversee and assist with reporting and reconciliation of estimates at completion (EACs) on engineering and development programs, monitor and communicate financial risks and opportunities within the business, and provide financial analytics to the leadership team to support decision-making. Furthermore, you will support ad hoc management requests for financial information and analysis, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and Government accounting reporting and testing. Utilizing CORE tools, you will identify and drive process improvement initiatives within the organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow in the finance sector, preparing financial reports and analyses in strict compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all relevant RTX policies and procedures. You will gain hands-on experience in reviewing and approving journal entries, as well as conducting thorough reviews of Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet accounts, while also gaining an understanding of project financials, monitoring variances, and ensuring accurate financial projections.

Responsibilities

  • Financial reporting, planning, and analysis in compliance with GAAP and all RTX policies and procedures.

  • Generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, operations, programs, engineering, and other areas of business for financial and strategic planning purposes.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leveraging strong leadership skills, adaptability, and self-direction to drive business results.
  • Master's degree or CPA preferred.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • U.S. Government accounting experience a plus.
  • Systems exposure to: HFM, OneStream, Hyperion Essbase, SAP, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
