About the position

The Finance Manager I position at US Foods, Inc. is a hybrid role that combines onsite and remote work. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial results for both internal and external reporting requirements. The Finance Manager will be responsible for complex accounting activities, compliance with SOX, and leading financial analysis efforts to support strategic decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial results for internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Maintain complete and accurate general ledger, reports, and financial statements including month-end journal entries.
  • Lead SOX compliance efforts and work with internal and external auditors.
  • Present monthly financial and operational performance metrics to leadership.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in accounting processes.
  • Assist with the implementation of new GAMPAC systems as a Financial Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Facilitate the annual planning process and perform regular reporting and analysis.
  • Review analysis on key business drivers and leading indicators using statistical capabilities.
  • Support executive-level presentations and communicate recommendations for strategic decisions.
  • Provide financial analysis support for new GAMPAC related business cases.
  • Develop and maintain databases for accounting and reconciliation activities.
  • Guide Accounts Receivable and Payables teams on processing transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related analytical field required.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience required OR 3 years with an MBA or MA in Finance or Accounting.
  • At least 1 year of experience leading projects and/or process improvements.
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP and SOX.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • MA/MBA preferred.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and/or Navision preferred.
