About the position

The Finance Manager, M&A at Providence St. Joseph Health is responsible for leading financial due diligence for various transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. This role involves administering financial reviews, providing expert advice on financial modeling, and delivering detailed financial analyses to senior executives. The position requires building strong relationships across multiple departments and ensuring post-transaction support and integration of processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial due diligence for transactions across the health system, including acquisitions and mergers.
• Administer independent financial reviews of high visibility M&A and capital projects for system leadership.
• Provide expert advice on complex financial modeling issues and accounting impacts.
• Deliver detailed summaries of financial analysis of major projects to senior executives.
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams including strategy, legal, human resources, and supply chain.
• Accountable for post-transaction support, including integration of processes and monitoring value propositions.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial analysis, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Responsible for budgeting and long-range planning.
• Summarize results of analysis into Executive Summaries as required.
• Analyze complex accounting transactions.

Requirements

• Experience in financial due diligence and M&A transactions.
• Strong knowledge of financial modeling and accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Ability to summarize complex financial information concisely for executive audiences.
• Experience in budgeting and long-range financial planning.
