About the position

The Finance Manager, M&A at Providence is responsible for leading financial due diligence for transactions across the health system, including acquisitions, mergers, and affiliations. This role involves administering independent financial reviews of high visibility M&A and capital projects, providing expert advice on complex financial modeling issues, and delivering detailed summaries of financial analyses to senior executives. The position requires building strong relationships with cross-functional teams and ensuring post-transaction support, including process integration and monitoring the value proposition of each transaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial due diligence for transactions across the health system, including acquisitions, mergers, and affiliations.
  • Administer independent financial reviews of high visibility M&A and capital projects for system leadership and capital councils.
  • Provide expert advice on complex financial modeling issues and accounting impacts.
  • Deliver detailed summaries of financial analysis of major projects to senior executives.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and proactively lead coordination with various departments.
  • Accountable for post-transaction support, including integration of processes and procedures and monitoring the value proposition of each transaction.
  • Use advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-look ups, for financial analysis.
  • Responsible for budgeting and long-range planning.
  • Summarize results of analysis into an Executive Summary as required.
  • Analyze complex accounting transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 6+ years of accounting experience with demonstrated experience in financial reporting and audits.
  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management Application (preferred).

Nice-to-haves

  • 1+ years of experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management Application.
