About the position

The Finance Manager/Principal for Free Cash Flow within Amazon's Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team plays a crucial role in supporting the CFO and senior leadership with enterprise-wide planning, analysis, and reporting. This position focuses on the forecasting, reporting, and analysis of Amazon's Free Cash Flow, ensuring sustainable growth and providing insights to executive team members. The role involves developing best practices for Corporate FP&A and managing key finance deliverables that impact the entire company.

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting, reporting, and analyzing Amazon's Free Cash Flow components, including Capital Expenditures.
  • Developing and improving financial analyses and narratives related to Free Cash Flow, Capex, and the Balance Sheet during all planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
  • Leading and developing Corporate FP&A Cash Flow and Capex process improvement initiatives.
  • Coaching and developing team members within the Free Cash Flow team.
  • Collaborating closely with business finance teams across Amazon to understand drivers of Free Cash Flow and deliver insights to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in finance technology, forecasting & budgeting, or other finance-focused competencies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Knowledge of accounting for retail payments, e-commerce, or financial services industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or CPA certification.
  • Experience with process improvement and delivery of financial features.
  • Strong background in financial statement analysis and knowledge of general accounting principles.
