About the position

The Finance Manager for Product Development at Marvin will leverage financial analytics and forecasting to support the company's business strategy. This role involves collaborating with product development and management leaders to implement analytics that measure the impact of investments and activities, ultimately influencing decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial insights that are clear, compelling, and actionable to drive awareness of business and financial results.
  • Develop the process for offering business analytics to provide visibility into results and financial impact of investments, particularly in the product development process.
  • Proactively engage with functional leaders and their teams to provide insight into business challenges and needs from a financial perspective.
  • Provide executive-facing insights, analytics, and presentations to illuminate financial performance and drive business decisions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure analytics align with enterprise goals and objectives, equipping leaders with necessary tools for informed decision-making.
  • Partner with various business partners and colleagues to create effective analytics, considering multiple perspectives and business impacts.
  • Implement metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies for assigned initiatives, using metrics to inform strategic plans for improvement and innovation.
  • Develop and lead a team of finance professionals to deliver high-quality financial support and analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years work experience leading financial analytics process and execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, math, or related field.
  • Experience working with product development functions and the product development process.
  • Superior use of Excel including macros, pivot tables, and v-lookups, as well as business intelligence tools such as Qlik, Tableau, or Spotfire.

  • Ability to turn complex financial analytics into insights appropriate for different audiences and business lines.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
