About the position
The Finance Manager for Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) will play a crucial role in designing and launching new business initiatives while enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency. This position requires a blend of financial acumen, operational knowledge, and strategic insight to influence decision-making and drive profitability across a portfolio of high-growth businesses. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders, utilize large-scale data mining tools, and prioritize impactful projects to support the organization's goals.
Responsibilities
- Leverage financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results.
- Deliver financial reporting/planning by working across stakeholders to understand input drivers, validate reporting integrity, and influence strategic decision-making.
- Make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce or difficult to procure.
- Use active listening skills and communicate data clearly, adjusting style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues.
- Participate in hiring, developing, and mentoring peers and team members, seeking and leveraging diverse perspectives.
Requirements
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science).
- 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience.
Nice-to-haves
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
