About the position

The Finance Manager at CBRE will lead a team focused on Finance Strategy and Operations, overseeing critical functions such as annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, and management reporting. This role is essential for maintaining financial policies and controls, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and guiding the team in achieving departmental objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, including training and development, performance evaluations, and mentoring.
  • Coordinate and own the team's daily activities, establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, planning, and reporting processes.
  • Review balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows, and supporting schedules for accuracy.
  • Review and approve basic monthly journal entries.
  • Produce routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages, and pro forma analyses for senior management.
  • Coordinate research, development, and preparation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Exchange and explain difficult information and handle critical issues effectively.
  • Influence parties of shared interests to reach agreements.
  • Model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and lead by example.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or a combination of experience and education.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance appraisal.
  • Ability to communicate critical and complicated information effectively.
  • Leadership skills to empower team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive approach.
  • Intermediate math skills for financial calculations.
  • Experience in Project Management financial planning, including developing project budgets and financial forecasts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial strategy and operations roles.
  • Familiarity with real estate finance and operations.
