About the position

The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in the Training and Certification (T&C) Finance team at Amazon, focusing on supporting the mission to cultivate skilled cloud professionals through leading training and certification programs. This position involves regular interaction with organizational leaders, data analysis, and project management to drive financial insights and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Finance Partner for the Training & Certification (T&C) 3rd Party Delivery (Channel) and AWS Cloud Institute (ACI) businesses.
• Work with Business Partners to build business models, pricing strategies, and value propositions and drive near-term and long-term forecasting.
• Clearly articulate complex financial data-driven analyses to provide stakeholders with key financial inputs/insights.
• Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency through data, modelling, and analysis.
• Manage competing priorities to complete both ad-hoc and strategic projects.
• Promote a positive and collaborative culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business.
• MBA or CPA.
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
