The Finance Manager is a pivotal role within the organization, responsible for providing comprehensive financial reporting and analysis of the company's monthly, quarterly, and yearly operating results. This position is highly visible and requires direct interaction with Senior Management, key operational leaders within the division, and the corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The Finance Manager must possess the ability and drive to lead initiatives and deliver high-quality, accurate financial reports within tight deadlines. Additionally, this role may involve participation in new strategic business engagements, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities. In this role, the Finance Manager will proactively support and build successful business partnerships between divisional leaders and the Finance department. Key responsibilities include reviewing monthly financial results, collaborating with accounting managers to record necessary adjustments, and explaining variances between actual and budgeted figures. The Finance Manager will prepare monthly divisional reporting for the Executive Vice President (EVP) and FP&A, lead monthly financial meetings with Operations personnel, and conduct thorough financial analyses to facilitate meaningful discussions. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for preparing all Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) documents for capital expenditures, maintaining a capex tracker, and preparing the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasts within the division. This includes explaining variances and preparing deliverables for Senior Divisional leadership and Corporate FP&A. The role may also involve preparing rate quotes and proposals for new business opportunities, updating customer contracts for annual rate increases, and providing financial analysis for changes to various Port Authority agreements. Overall, the Finance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and strategic direction of the organization.
