About the position

The Finance Manager role at JLL involves overseeing financial operations and client billing processes while ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. This position requires strong leadership skills to manage the finance team and collaborate with account directors to enhance client profitability and service delivery. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for maintaining accounting controls, managing corporate accounting requirements, and facilitating financial reporting and budgeting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a high level of client service with account leadership and the Finance team.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with Account Directors and leadership teams.
  • Oversee the client billing processes to ensure proper fee calculation, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
  • Collaborate with JLL account leadership to improve client profitability and service.
  • Manage period-end client closing activities to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial reports.
  • Provide leadership for the annual client budget and periodic forecast processes.
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews with clients as part of the JLL account leadership team.
  • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with client Master Services Agreements (MSAs).
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Support Account Directors and account leadership team in risk mitigation as necessary.
  • Maintain accounting controls within the framework of GAAP and JLL policies.
  • Manage JLL corporate accounting requirements including oversight of client-specific income statements and corporate receivables.
  • Manage the performance and workload of assigned Finance team staff.
  • Facilitate ad hoc reporting and other projects as required.

Requirements

  • Senior level experience in finance or accounting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing finance teams.
  • Experience in client billing and revenue recognition processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in strategic partnership development with leadership teams.
  • Familiarity with Master Services Agreements (MSAs).
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
