About the position

As a Finance Manager at Kellanova, you will play a crucial role in conducting complex financial analysis across various functions and business units. Your primary responsibilities will include establishing and monitoring both short and long-term financial goals, providing insights on profit drivers, and offering monthly financial variance analysis along with recommendations for profit improvement. This position is hybrid, allowing you to work from either the Battle Creek, MI or Chicago, IL area, and is part of Kellanova's Away from Home team, which focuses on products sold outside of grocery stores, such as in convenience stores, cafeterias, college campuses, and airports. You will be involved in innovation projects and strategies, collaborating with leadership to influence the future direction of Kellanova. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and reporting, which includes conducting complete monthly financial forecasting, overseeing month-end closing processes, participating in annual budget development, and performing ROI analysis. You will also focus on process improvement, enhancing efficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while deepening your understanding of expense drivers and anticipating future trends. Leadership is a key aspect of this position, as you will deliver presentations to executive management, oversee monthly variance analysis, and identify and communicate risks associated with financial performance. Additionally, you will engage in business partnering, working cross-functionally with teams in Commercial Strategy, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing to drive overall business performance. Your ability to communicate effectively and influence others at all organizational levels will be essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
  • Experience working with multiple and challenging priorities with time constraints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to guide and influence others at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis with the ability to tell stories with data.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
